3 Cars Not Likely to Come to Big Bucks Auto

Over at Big Bucks we buy used cars. So it goes without saying that whether it is old, new, muscle, or a standard four door sedan, we love cars and care for the environment. This is why we are excited to see what concept cars roll out at the 2010 Paris Auto Show from Oct 2^nd thru Oct. 17^th .

Paris Auto Show: What is it?

The Paris Auto Show is one on those shows that everyone looks forward to. Alternating years with the Frankfurt Auto Show, every major car buff notes it on the calendar, counts down the days until comes around, and follows it religiously. All major global manufacturers attend which leads to numerous unveilings. This is THE Auto Show to watch. It has always been the spring-board for exotics and super-cars, and this year will be no different.

The 2010 Paris Auto Show will bring forth:

• the EDF Electric Cars Test Centre,
• the incredible collection 2,
• the BNP Paribas Learning centre to Eco-Driving,
• the indoor electric karts track and
• an entire hall dedicated to emerging energies and clean cars

Concept Car: What We’re Looking Forward To

There are going to be a ton of breathtaking concept cars for 2010 at the Paris Auto Show, which makes choosing our favorite 3 exceedingly difficult. But we’re a dedicated bunch over here at Big Bucks Auto and we’ve managed to narrow it down to these 3 (in no particular order).

2010 Concept Car: The Kia POP

We know; it’s certainly not the most beautiful piece of machinery, and Justin Tuck of the New York Giants could probably flip it, but it’s got three seats! This concept car is about 10ft long which is a foot shorter than the average length of a Male American alligator – parallel parking will never be easier. Kia has announced that the Kia POP concept car will be powered by an electric motor, but they are making us wait until the Paris Auto Show for any info regarding powertrain info.

2010 Concept Car: The Next XK

Jaguar is set to showcase an all new concept model at the upcoming Paris Auto Show. This model is to be the inspiration for future Jaguar Models, including the next XK. AutoCar reports that the concept car will be roughly the same size but that’s about it. The concept car’s design is believed to be conceived with Porches 918 Spyder, while still maintaining similar design traits of those found on the newly redesigned XJ and XF.

It’s not just a style concept car! Jaguar is going to use this as a preview of some new technology for the brand and a glimpse at its first hybrid drivetrain.

2010 Concept Car: Ferrari is Going Green

When Ferrari decides to “go green” you know it’s a big deal. Ferrari is planning to unveil a “green” concept car based on the California at the Paris Auto Show. For all of you Ferrari lovers out there don’t fret, it’s not losing power. Packed with the same V8 engine, the “green” California is expected to be revamped with fuel-saving technology that may include things such as: “lighter internals with reduced friction, a brake energy regenerations system, improved aerodynamics in order to cut drag, a cylinder deactivation setup that could cut power to some of the cylinders when stuck in traffic and a selectively detaching alternator” (Courtesy of AutoGuide) As with the others, nothing has been confirmed by Ferrari, but everything will be displayed at the Paris Auto Show.
